Teacher of Mathematics

We are looking for a talented and inspirational teacher to play a pivotal role in in our journey from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding.’ The ideal candidate has a clear vision of how the teaching of Mathematics can transform children’s lives and has the passion to turn this into excellence in the classroom.

The successful applicant is required to teach both KS3 and KS4 Mathematics, and will be an aspirational classroom practitioner, driven to lead students of all abilities to meet their full potential. Although we have a vacancy that commences in January, we invite all interested candidates, including those currently participating in their ITT, to apply.

Professional development is an important part of our department’s focus. The successful post holder will be part of an enthusiastic team, where responsibilities to undertake departmental planning duties will form part of your weekly routine. This role, therefore, provides a good opportunity to strengthen and develop additional professional skills and experience for the right candidate. Discussions are welcomed from candidates considering positions throughout 2025, as we look to recruit the right candidate to join our growing team.

Carnforth High School is a small, community 11-16 school situated on the border of the Lake District, close to Lancaster and is 2 minutes from Junction 35 of the M6. We are a good school (Ofsted, December 2021).
