School Closure for Year 10 29th and 30th March

Unfortunately, the staff absence at Carnforth High School due to Covid has continued to rise.

As a result, the whole of Year 10 will move to home learning on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th March, and will therefore stay at home.

Year 10 pupils will be expected to work from home and work will be provided for them by school for each of the lessons they would usually have on those days. This will be available to access via Epraise, in the same way that homework is usually set, but marked as ‘classwork.’

Work will be provided via links (where there are videos, websites, etc. to access) and in PDF format where sheets are provided in order to allow the best ease of access. They should not require printing.

Students are not likely to have their usual exercise books with them, so therefore should complete their work on paper.

We apologise for the disruption this will cause. Please be aware that work set on epraise will be set as ‘classwork’ and pupils may need to check both ‘due date’ and ‘set date’ settings on their epraise planner to access all pieces of work.

The school will re-open for Year 10 on Thursday 31st March when we anticipate some staff will have tested negative and have returned to work.

School will remain open for all other year groups.
